With a job like theirs, who can blame the SGA crew for playing hooky?

Notes: I love this team so hard, and I miss them so much, especially when they were allowed to be complete and utter GOOFBALLS. This time around I included lots and lots of Teyla, to make up for my grievous lack in the last vid. This came together in little over a week, like some kind of fever dream. It was a great test of my new laptop.

I could make a career out of vidding to They Might Be Giants. Their songs are short, sweet, and fun, with a great beat and usually not a plot in sight.

Many thanks again to sabaceanbabe for her wonderful feedback and squee (it's always nice for someone else to see the joy you try to put into your work), and to the family at home for tolerating me being in vid headspace for the duration of the creation. I hope you like it!

OMG, I love this like pie. TMBG + SGA = &hearts &hearts &hearts!

I laughed out loud in at least half a dozen places; you chose the most perfect clips to illustrate this song (which is probably my favorite song on the Here Come the 1-2-3 dvd -- why yes, I do have a toddler, thanks for asking! ;-) I would totally put this on the ipad that Mr. Toddler and I share if this were in a format I could do that with; as it is, I will just have to watch it online to my heart's content.

The golf! The stick fighting as "practice trumpet every day"! The clips of drinking and partying for "it's a holiday!" Oh, seriously, this is just adorable.

It's probably my favorite song, too, from that album; even after vidding to it, I still bounce along when it plays. Aren't we lucky as parents to have great kid music available?

I added an MP4 option above. If that doesn't work out, there's a great freebie conversion program you can fiddle with: DVDVideosoft Video to iPad converter. Just turn off the bar they want to add to the installation, and the program works like a charm.

It was practically cheating to use the stick fighting, as it made it so easy to skim for clips and time the hits to the beats of the song. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!
