So why did it take until today for me to find that that not only is the CW planning on relaunching BH, 90120, but Rob Thomas is bringing back 'Cupid'?

I mean, DUDE. I religiously watched the former for at least 4 years or so (CHEEZE-TASTIC!), and the cancellation of the latter was completely due to my curse, as I LOVED it.

What's even funnier is that RT was supposed to be behind the 90210 remake but had to drop out due to his other prospects. The genius behind "Veronica Mars", let loose again on bitchy, privileged West Coast high schoolers? I would totally have watched that. Alas, I doubt I'll be tuning into the new show, unless it approaches the enjoyment levels of 'Gossip Girl'.

In other VM-related news, 'Moonlight' has been canceled, just when it was starting to make more judicious use of Jason Dohring actually being vampiric. (Did they not know why I was tuning in? It certainly wasn't for the lead!) I'm not actually all that heartbroken, as I've known all along that it was a crappy show. I just hope JD gets picked up again, this time in something that uses him wisely. Hey, Rob Thomas! He'd be great on 'Cupid'!

So yeah, I am otherwise completely out of the loop. Any other entertainment news I should know about? (I'm all over 'Dollhouse' and 'Caprica', but that's about it.)

It's Friday again, which usually means my attention span is shorter than...what was I saying?

Anyway, so I'm bopping through LJ links and links-of-links, and I came across an online magazine that had a bunch of interviews. (Jason Dohring, you know I will always have a soft spot in my headheart for you after Logan, but please, "Moonlight", to be brief, sucks. No, really. It does. People's Choice award or not.)

Then I saw a picture, combined with a name, and I had to click it.

I struggled for a bit with the internal debate: Must not be catty, must not be catty, must not be catty...oh, fuck it.

In my mental dictionary, this picture is next to the entry for 'Mary Sue'. )

Now that I've made my shameful confession, I'm curious about you guys. What image pops into your head when you come across the phrase "Mary Sue", and does it reflect at all on what features you wish you had?

the shame

Watching Moonlight...SO BAD...And this is pre-writer's strike?

I don't know who should be more embarrassed, me for sticking with this CRAP or them for trying to pass it off as a professional show.

CAN'T TURN AWAY FROM SLOW TRAIN WRECK...Must keep watching to see if it can get WORSE.

While I do appreciate that, as a geek, TV is finally starting to pander to my tastes (Chuck, Reaper, Pushing Daisies, Bionic Woman, Big Bang Theory. and the returning favorites Heroes and Ugly Betty), I got a definite taste of retread this season. Chuck? You could snidely call it Jake 3.0. (I did enjoy it, and it's not really a fair comparison; I'll definitely keep watching.) Bionic Woman? Yeah. Reaper? Brimstone, anyone? (Though I never really saw Brimstone, and Reaper has my thumbs up.) (But really, network guys? Could we please cut back on the wacky sidekicks? Thanks.)

The worst offender so far, though, has been Moonlight.
All the sarcastic sheep say BAAAAAAAHD. )

In other news, Stargate: Atlantis was awesome, and I am happy. Sci-Fi? You had BETTER pick them up for Season 5, or else. You've got very little good karma left with me.
