Public apology for "Pushing Daisies"

I am so, so sorry. I love your quirkiness, your deadpan delivery, your surreal "Big Fish" imagery, your eclectic cast (Swoosie Kurtz! Ellen Greene! Chi McBride!).

My love is going to kill you so dead, so quickly. I am the anti-demographic.

Please accept my sincere, heartfelt condolences in advance.

While watching I had the thought, "this show isn't going to last very long, is it?" May I be proved wrong.

Dammit! I can hope, but that usually leads to crushing disappointment like for "Firefly", "Farscape", "Joan of Arcadia", "Angel"...

(Seriously. I kill shows. I hate this.)

See, I don't think shows should go beyond four or five seasons, so Farscape and Angel don't bug me too much (true, the Farscape mini should have been at least a half-season, but still).

I think it's good. It may find a niche. I'm just a cynic.

It's okay though, there are a few other things that are awesome and still on the air.

(Do you watch Dexter? If you don't I'm going to TOTALLY push it on you. Best thing on t.v. right now. I'M NOT KIDDING. And it's on itunes. And I know I was pushing Avatar a bit, but it's even better. And, you know, not a cartoon. And also the highest rated show on its network, so not in danger of cancellation.)

Dexter is my next Veronica Mars. I know I should be watching it, but my schedule is crammed full, and the longer I put off watching it, the better a chance it has of escaping my curse. (I mean, my initial first-run episode of VM was "Donut Run", which seems to be when a lot of my friends started losing love for it.)

But yes, I am planning on watching Dexter, just not right now.

Once "Pushing Daisies", "Chuck", and "Reaper" all get canceled, then I'll have plenty of time. *grim smile*
