I started getting anxious last week about my period being late. I was getting all the classic PMS symptoms, but no actual output. I even went so far as to pee on a stick. (The stick said no. It was a twingy sort of Phew.)

Then yesterday the red tide swept in like an abusive partner, with Cramps unto the Wrath of God. “Heard you missed me, sugar. Did you miss this, too?” Right now I’m on 800 mg of ibuprofen and I still feel like someone is stomping all over my uterus with spiked boots while punching me in the lower back for good measure.

If this doesn’t die down, I may cry Wimp and go home early.

May I suggest (as long as you are not sensitive to salicylates/aspirin) either black haw or crampbark?

Painkillers are all well and good, but because those two herbs are EXTREMELY specific to smooth muscle cramps (as opposed to skeletal muscle cramps), they are the bomb for Teh Kramp.

The Cramp Bark Extra on this page is especially good. They even sell it in a teeny bottle that fits nicely in a purse:

If cramps are a usual thing, use the Phase 1 support long-term and the Cramp Bark Extra for short-term symptomatic relief.

Oh, and Dr. Tori Hudson (the naturopath what formulated those products) is a SMART monkey.

You can also just go to Strawberry Fields and buy a black haw and/or crampbark tincture and take a dropperful every fifteen minutes as needed, if they don't have the Cramp Bark Extra.
