Life definitely has its perks. I'm sitting here with a Jello chocolate pudding cup and a pint of raspberries picked from the backyard (picking done by my husband and BIL). The mix is delightful.

I'm watching a tape of the Dirty Jobs 100th job episode. I'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. Ah, Sundays.

Friday we were horrible parents and took the Emperor into one of those cheap haircutting chains. (The Beatles had nothing on his mop top.) I wouldn't be so anal about it, but a) when it gets this long, it pokes him in the ears and those poor things get riled up enough, and b) it takes forever to wash his hair, and he's not the most patient of bathers. So yeah, he's now sporting a jarhead buzzcut. It's kinda scary how different he looks. But oh, his head is now so FUZZY. It's a good thing he's too young to care how much I rub his head. I just can't help myself.

We only watched Mary Poppins twice through today. We started watching "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" in between, but honestly, it's as boring as crap in comparison. Not a lot of singing, long wait until any dancing, and no grim nannies blowing away in the wind. Hopefully we can find "The Jungle Book" at the library.

Finding Nemo is the big kid movie around these parts. Really anything Pixar, but especially Finding Nemo, and the Incredibles.

K asked, very seriously, is she could see Aladdin -- the Disney movie, you know. We're going to rent it and give it a shot. She knows it's scary and is willing to give it a try.

Oh, and moments like the one you describe above? Perfect.

Oh to have a crewcut. The glory! The ease of care!

What about the sound of music?

Glad you had a great day!
