Question for the masses

This has been niggling at me for a while, and Mondays are perfect for feeling all paranoid, so here goes, flist:

Do you find my use of "The Emperor" to refer to my offspring pretentious or obnoxious or otherwise annoying? If so, do you have any alternate suggestions?

It started so innocently, from an offhand comment made by my husband during an ultrasound. I worry that you all think that I'm full of overly grandiose notions about my little guy (which, yeah, being a proud mama, I am, I just don't want to beat you over the head with it).

Ack. This is what Mondays do to me.
