Geeking out

I recently re-caught up with Wil Wheaton's new(er) blog, http://wilwheaton.typepad.com. A couple of days ago, he related the tale
of playing "Apples to Apples" with his family, and his disappointment that "Helen Keller" lost to "T-Rex" for "Awkward".

Strangely enough, we also played A2A with my folks this past weekend, only in our game, Helen Keller emerged triumphantly Awkward.

So I had to share this with him in the comments, and asked if "Hot Lava" is an auto-win card in his games as it is in ours.

DUDE! He replied: "Kim: Hot Lava, Charging Rhinos, and Angry Hornets are all trump cards in our games." Wil Wheaton replied to my stupid comment! Watch me do the dork-out dance! *dork*dork*dork*dork*

Dialing it down

In other, less happy news, the Fates continue to laugh at my attempts to have a social life.

My dear sis-in-law recently came down with a bad case of indefinite bed rest, due to elevated BP and protein in her urine. We were supposed to hang out this weekend, and yeah, not gonna happen. *sigh* Here's hoping her system gets back into whack and allows Pregnor to roam freely once more.

dsjones and I also seem to be stuck in a "just missed you" phase. Stupid colds and time commitments.

I'm very glad that the_sween and hecateuse were able to come visit. I was afraid that at the last minute, some tornado would swoop out of nowhere and whisk our house away or something. *knock on wood* that nothing happens to me on the drive home.
