If you say, to someone like the pharmacy clerk, something like, "I understand that this is complicated, but I got the prescription a week ago, I've been here three times, and my son still doesn't have the medication he needs, is there anything you can do to help me? I'm really worried about him," sometimes that unlocks something in their
heartssystem. The aim is to position them as your ally against difficulties, rather than as the difficulty you're beating your fists against; sometimes when you cast people in that role, they play it.That said, if you've already tried it or the staff there are heartless or feeble, I've got nothing except endless sympathy and shared outrage. ARGH.
