Author's abject apologies: I am so, so sorry to have perpetrated a cliffhanger in the first place, and that it took me this long to finish up this part. I had an attack of 130% Real Life, with a car dying, a project at work going into sudden death overtime, and various and sundry other things that glared at me accusingly for not having started earlier.
