Dunno how far the news has spread, so...

Thursday, [livejournal.com profile] dsjones went in for a prenatal visit. They didn't like her blood pressure, so they told her to go home and monitor it, returning the next day. Friday it was still elevated, so they checked her into the hospital for observation. With medication and rest, her BP went down, but there was protein in her urine, which led to fears of toxemia. This meant another stay for a day.

I'll post another update when I receive it. Please keep [livejournal.com profile] dsjones and [livejournal.com profile] deaconobvious in your thoughts.
grammarwoman: (Beneficent Emperor)
We took the Emperor in today to pick up his glasses at Lenscrafters (a day later than they said the order would be ready..*grr*). We got there when the office opened at 11 AM, only to be told that they weren't ready yet, so we went and played in the indoor mall playground. A fricking hour later we returned, only to wait for the overly-busy staff to be able to get around to us; seriously, we were waiting for 10 minutes before they could serve us! Of course, this was treading seriously into the Emperor's nap time, so he was cranky and not having any of this glasses-wearing crap when we tried them on him.

A long nap later, he still wasn't prepared to wear the glasses. I hope day-care has fun tomorrow; they've worked magic before, so maybe they can do it again. *sigh*
