I think my brain was full

grammarwomanHi! It turns out that I took an inadvertent 10-day vacation from DW/LJ, for no apparent reason other than my brain went into hiding and wanted to do nothing more than play lots of Mafia Wars and work on a thing. So now I'm slowly but surely catching up on the backlog. Eep!
The con was fabulous - I got to spend lots of time withdarsynia, nakedwesley, and several others whose handles I completely forgot. (Darsy and Kath, you'll have to help me out with those, if you could.) It was low-key for me: I enjoyed the actors that were there, but none of them were crushes of mine. I didn't have to be so stressed about Missing Something. (And boy howdy, am I glad - otherwise I might have had to murder nakedwesley for her VIP pass and other goodies.) I did have several pangs of wishing I had a Gold Pass, if only to hang out more with everyone. I took lots and lots of video, but they are all incredibly shaky due to the covertness of my captures. I'll see if any of them aren't too hurl-a-riffic to share. Now if only the Creation people would get their asses in gear and post the photo ops results - there's a couple of kickass shots I paired up with people to take with Joe Flanigan that I can't wait to see...
So, ah, the other thing - evidently watching all the submitted vids at the con (especially those that weren't anything special) made the timer in my brain speed up and go *PING*. As a result, I spent several days at work last week pulling together clips and dove headfirst into Windows Movie Maker. I don't think you all adequately warned me for how all-consuming vidding is. Now I'm the proud author of a Farscape vid that I'm treating as a proof-of-concept, while I go back and re-rip the necessary scenes in higher quality from my DVDs and put them together with a real video editing application. *smooches Kaz like crazy* My goal is to have it ready for Creation's October 15th deadline for entry. Of course I'll post it here for your FB first - I'm already crazy in love with this thing, and I can't wait to share it.
In other news...I love the convenience of Monthly Info, to help me keep track of my ovulations and periods. It's also made me laugh, as I've come to realize that most of my NC-17 dreams fall right around ovulation. Gotta love those hormones. The crazy mental aerobics my brain performs to generate those dreams is also entertaining: watching a show on TLC about parents having multiples, plus thinking that the bodyguard icon in Mafia Wars looks a lot like one of Tahmoh Penikett's promo pix from BSG, equals a dream in which I'm part of a futuristic society that's learned to teleport in time and space, and I'm one of several women in Tahmoh's knocked-up harem. SERIOUSLY, Brain.

kink_bingo card, seeing as those are due today, and I've written exactly nothing. Ah well, as long as I produce something in the next year, I'll still be all good.
