Damn you, Creation Entertainment!
Why can't I temporarily live in California? Where's my teleporter technology when I need it the most?
Creation just had to go and book several conventions in November, in freaking BURBANK, that I MUST attend, but could they put the two that I desperately want to go to in the same damn weekend? Of course not. They scheduled the Farscape Farewell two weekends before the BSG/Stargate combo, just to fuck with me. I mean, Celebrity Boyfriends Ben Browder versus Tahmoh Penikett? Old favorite sci-fi show versus new favorite sci-fi show? Last Farscape con versus last big BSG con while it's still going? How am I supposed to make a choice, here? (Oh, and please don't suggest that I can fly out for both, because, no, the budget would take me out back and shoot me first. Unless, of course, you want to give me some free airfare.)
Why the hell couldn't they have done the Farscape/BSG combo? (Other than the fact that I would have exploded from sheer joy, or become a meth addict to not sleep the whole damn weekend for fear of missing anything.) I can catch a Stargate con any old time -- plus, they don't have any featured guests planned for that one that I especially want to see. (Ben, Claudia Black, David Hewlett, for example). NYARGH!
When I first heard about the Farscape Farewell a month or so back, I was all psyched and ready to get planning -- it was going to be my 35th birthday present to myself, a few months early. I know I could have gotten my parents to both go in on it and watch the Emperor in our absence. The husband was even good to go. I was excited and giddy! Now...now I'm all torn.
Stupid space/time/entertainment-center-that-is-California continuum. Bah.
