Yes! I am such a crank sometimes; I don't understand why people pay hundreds or thousands for pure-breds when there are tons of wonderful pets waiting at humane societies and rescues. Especially because most of the people I know who bought from breeders got critters with mental and/or physical issues.

When I look at Mika and think of how much she's brought to our lives, I feel so blessed.
